Sonnet #18

Sonnet #18 in one syllable words

He loved her. There was no doubt. Once he told her that she was like a day in June, warm and mild. But, of course, this would fade in time. In the end, strong winds would cause her buds of youth to fade and she would age. He said as much. Whilst young, some days her sun could be all bright and far too hot, but there were days too on which clouds would cross her face. Yet, at length, the rays of the sun would grow weak and the warm days would come to an end. The warmth of June and the charm of youth would, in fact, seem far too short. Such is life. In spite of that his love for her would last. In his eyes she would shine like the warm sun of June till the end of time. She would just live on and on, as he would catch her youth and grace in words, and with a pen note them down in black and white. He then knew that as long as his words of her charm could be read, she would live on.

  1. Quite lyrical prose, despite the harsh restriction to one syllable words. Covers the sonnet's argument and techniques convincingly.
