A Fictional Account of the Infamous Ongoing Struggle

To-day we have the eternal war of science and spirituality

Signs, psychics, mediums – mind fucking brutality

Science, on the other hand, is more my thing

Formulas, logical explanations, observations – knowledge is king

"Farmaceutical companies are the enemy

They promote drug dependency

It’s time we all return-to-live

With natural medical alternatives"

“Natural medicine” – what is up with that?

Such a thing can only be believed by a twat

Natural medicine has either not been proved to work

Or has been proved not to work, you jerk

“How do you explain psychics and mediums then?

It must be a comfort to talk to deceased loved ones again

They can help repair the mental scars that you got

Betting on a psychic to heal you is a sure shot”

Being a psychic is like reading tea leaves or meridian lines – it’s not a skill

These so-called “mediums” or “psychics” are either lying or fundamentally ill

They are, for money, lying to some crying woman whose son was beaten until he was dead

Excuse me, but in my worldview that is just totally fucked in that thing you call a head

In conclusion, here’s what gives me a hard-on:

I am a tiny, insignificant piece of carbon

I have one life and it is short

For this was another battle in the war between science and spirtuality - not to be settled in court

  1. Nice rant, but so far removed from the form and theme of the Reed poem as to not qualify as either parody or pastiche. Apart from the first line no-one would recognize any connection w. the original...

  2. That's what I thought when I read the other contributions. Now, at least, I know what a parody or pastiche is NOT
