“You told me only lies
They all smelled like ugly flies
You said you were mine
That I was your beautiful shrine
Where are we now?
I don’t know how?
Where did we go wrong?”
'lies' and 'flies' - one of the ugliest rhymes I've seen in while (but worth a smile...)
Very simple poem, personally I think that it lacks a bit of depth, thereby not saying that it should be profound and serious, but it seems as a poem dealing with an important topic that deserves some elaboration
