Confessions of a Pancake Aficionado

Once there were pancakes...

Fluffy, golden-brown, daring Babylon-towers venturing into the skies. Drenched in thick maple syrup, with sticky strawberry jam and greasy melted butter, promising divine bliss and eventual nausea to anyone desiring to consume them.

Odors of glutinous cream cheese, sweetened apple sauce and cinnamon scents filling the room with myths and tales from when the world was still young. Chunky peanut butter, creamy coconut-milk and Honey-concaves, stringy and pasty, hanging on for dear life, frightened to let go.

Roasted marshmallows, mashed bananas and brown sugar curling up and melting, hesitantly whispering its most precious secrets: Never write poems on an empty stomach ;(

Once there were pancakes...

  1. I'm glad I already had breakfast before I read this! The backwards phrase was not all that challenging, but overall, well done!
