Julie O: Re writing Henry Reed.

I. writing a constitution

To-day we have writing a constitution. Yesterday,
We had lessons in democracy. And to-morrow morning,
We shall have what to do after killing the dictator. But to-day,
To-day we have writing a constitution. Flags
flutters in the wind,
And to-day we have writing a constitution.

This is the freedom of man. And this
Is the freedom of speech, which use you will see,
When you are given your democracy. And this is the dictator,
Which in your case you have not got. The smiles
in streets are loud and shouting gestures,
which in our case we have now got.

This is the beginning of a new area, which is released
With the power of the people. And please do not let me
See anyone fighting each other. You can avoid it quite easy
If you have any strength in yourself. Society will blossom
if you listen and understand, never letting anyone
fight each other

  1. Nice reversal in doing the 'technical' voice about democracy and peace!

One quibble - you probably mean 'era', and not 'area'
