Writing Game 3 Function: Phantasmatic Author

Function: Phantasmatic Author

Abstract Notion: Freedom/Nature

There is no purpose or destination, but what counts is only that we proceed alone in our daily journey

of living because…

Everything passes by and everything remains, but our journey is to pass,

Passing and making paths, paths over the sea and over the earth.

But don’t pursue glory, just leave in your memory the story of the journey to life.

Must love delicate and weightless worlds, just as soap bubbles; enjoy seeing them getting

painted just as the rainbow’s color, flying under the blue sky, and then  see then dropping,

shaking and bursting.

But walker, you see your footsteps that are the path, but nothing more.

Remember walker: there is no road; you make your road out of walking.

Because when you walk you leave your own road, and then when if you look back will see the

path you will never walk by again.

Long time ago, where the woods are, a man’s crying was heard, but walker don’t stop your

journey to life because there is no road; you make your road out of walking.

When praying is no good enough, when trees cannot sing, remember walker don’t stop, because

there is no road; you make your road out of walking.

  1. “Wanderer, your footsteps are the road, and nothing more; wanderer, there is no road, the road is made by walking. By walking one makes the road, and upon glancing behind one sees the path that never will be trod again. Wanderer, there is no road-- Only wakes upon the sea." - Antonio Machado, 'Caminante'

  2. Wow, I really liked this! (who wouldn't, though?) Your strong point is clearly your use of imagery, so many strong images. Such as 'Must love delicate and weightless worlds, just as soap bubbles' and 'Long time ago, where the woods are, a man’s crying was heard.' Also, the line, 'There is no road; you make your road of walking' is brilliant.
