ReplyDeleteConsidering the structure of the text, I would still go for "pastiche" (though it is certainly also a parody). So, I guess, I disagree.
ReplyDeleteThe structure is not so determining of the pastiche/parody distinction. The intention and tonality is, though. As for the intention, one has little choice but to ask the author, but then the author may not be the final authority if he/she chooses to lie... As for tonality, the jocund and somewhat coarse tone and earthy subject matter of your text tilts it towards parody (not that that is a bad thing at all)...
