Writing game 3

It had been too long since I last visited my home after going abroad. Many countries I had visited but no place could really be compared to my home. I wasn’t really that happy with myself considering everything that had happened in my life during all these years.

All I had wanted to do was to make sure that I would not loose any of the precious moments that life had to offer. For me, life was about creating a working relationship with time. I didn’t wanted to be afraid of it so I had done everything I could to make sure that I could grow old without feeling any regrets about something I didn’t do, sometimes the consequences just had been a bit disastrous.

Little did my parents and friends care though, I noticed when I had a discussion with my dad about the way my life had gone. “I only gave you one advice when you left home, do you still remember what it was?”, he asked. “Speak to time, was it?”, I replied

  1. The backwards line is quite magical!! Fantastic resonance in it, and that is enhanced by your framing it as a father's advice. Another excellent phrase is "creating a working relationship with time" - I love that image too!
