Dear Diary.
I have today posted this super sweet (if I may say so myself) article about the future of writing. I’m truly excited to see peoples reaction to my claims that people shouldn’t write anything totally new and original, but instead write great texts in which they borrow, steal and get inspired by others. Is it not creative in a time where creativity has become main stream to try and be as uncreative as possible? Of course not everyone shares my beliefs as I found out when this self-important short sighted poet (well, being a poet says it all am I right?) accused me of nihilism and robbing poetry (the most important form of writing as we all know) of its (his) joy. He has gone through his own revolution in the 20th century, but every generation has a revolution and now he is the one who’s rebelled against. But I believe dear diary that much literature will follow the trends of the internet with memes in literature where we now face the questions of authorship and originality.
Well sucks to be him I guess. Tomorrow I’m holding a new lecture and hope the audience will be more open-minded for the future.
