A room of one's own

Before:

When one writes, a new world is being extracted. Having different meanings within different genres, this world is a sphere of different emotions and thoughts conglomerated through expression. It is thus through expression that the writer creates a new world, though the expression itself is not only a question of creating something new, but also a way of living. In that sense the writer has an urge to express herself like anyone else – it is only that she, in contrast to the average person, expresses herself (mainly) through words. Writing is thus, putting it in short, a liberation of the mind in which one’s thoughts are transcended and liberated.

After

(The horrifying version)

When one writes, a new worldless world is being extracted. Having different meanings within different gents, this worldless world is spherical and has different kinds of emotionalization and is thoughtfully conglomerated being expressionless. It is thus being expressionless that the writer creates a new worldless world, though the expressionless writer is not only creating something new, but is also living. In that senseless way, the writer has an urge to express herself like anyone else – it is only that she, in contrast to the average person, expresses herself (mainly) being worded. Writing is thus, putting it in short, a librarian in which one’s thoughts are transcended and liberated.

Reading a hypertext: These Waves of Girls

When reading “These Waves of Girls” it seems that one is not always in charge. The introduction itself has a pervasive and confusing effect, not allowing the reader to read anything, being exposed to a sound of giggling girls and a fluxing picture (presumably a series of waves or clouds). The introduction does, however, seem to do the job. Thus one eventually, if not immediately, sees a connection between the introduction of giggling girls (and the fluxing picture) and the plot itself moving into the story of actual giggling girls.

Similarly, the navigation of the story itself seems at times confusing (I did miss a few links once or twice). It is sometimes questionable from where to continue once a paragraph ends (I do not know whether I got it right yet). The text is consistently merged with pictures, a combination that repeats the fluxing (and confusing) introduction that perpetuates throughout the story. In spite of these observations the plot seems not only to backup the introduction, but also to prevail, as it is unfolded through the click of a mouse and the scroll of a finger, making one capable of selecting and deselecting pieces of the text.

The text thus has a coherent plot, whereas its navigation balances between informing the reader (giving her overview and privileges of selection and de-selection) and losing her in between the paragraphs (not knowing where to continue), if not having her confused by its flux of picture and its sound of giggly girls.

Naming of Parts

In her rear end you find her breech. This is where you flip her back, ease her, and cock her.

Careful though when loading her chamber, for she is capricious and has several moods. Load her with a gentle touch, and lock her slowly.

Release her safety catch with a simple flick of the thumb and switch her on simple or semi. Let your finger rest along her slide. Do not touch her trigger, but hold her tightly and let your finger slide down towards her lower region and locate her trigger.

Cock and slide her back and forth as you please, but make sure not to jam her spring and lugs. Now flip her safety catch, move your finger and let her go.

This is the naming of parts.
